What is HPL?

High pressure laminate (HPL) is a building decoration material with good fireresistance. lt is usually made of multiple layers of black or brown kraft paper treatedwith high temperature and high pressure. lts surface can imitate the appearance ofvarious materials such as wood, stone, metal, etc., and it has excellent fire resistancewear resistance, corrosion resistance and other characteristics. lt is widely used inconstruction, furniture, decoration and other fields.

It consists of layers of specially treated papers impregnated with synthetic resin and pressed under heat and high temperature. The surface layer is decorative paper impregnated with melamine-based resins. The core layer is made of layers of good quality kraft papers impregnated with phenolic-based resins.
